Introduction
The Crawley Circus Festival was held at The Hawth during the weekend of 14th-15th August 2004.
After the event, the participants were asked to complete a questionnaire expressing their views on the festival.
Summary
In total, 62 questionnaires were completed and returned. The feedback was very positive.
How would you rate the festival?
When asked to rate the festival, 46 people (74%) rated this very good. No-one rated the festival lower than average.
What did you like most about this year’s festival?
The majority (40%) said that they enjoyed the shows most, in particular Kettle of Fish. A further 20% said the best thing about the festival was the atmosphere.

What did you like least about this years festival?
Five people said the lack of showers was the worst thing about the festival. Another 5 people said that the wasps were the worst thing. Four people, however, said that there was nothing they disliked about the festival.
Do you have any suggestions about how we can improve the festival?
When asked for any improvement suggestions for the festival, 31 people said they would like to see more workshops. A further 19 people said that being able to make internet bookings would be an improvement.
Would you be prepared to pay more?
Nearly a quarter of the people who answered this question (24%) said they wouldn’t be prepared to pay more for the festival.
However, 22% said they would be prepared to pay up to £2.00 more for the festival, and another 22% said they would be prepared to pay up to £5.00 more. Only 2 people (3.4%) said they would be prepared to pay more than £5.00.

Food (Total - 4)
- Cafe inside ran out of hot food before show - 45 minute wait. No good as show on then. Outside also run out of veggie pizza at this time therefore more food at key times - only very minor point.
- Only that we need another morning fairy providing bacon
- Cooked breakfast - with meat - at a reasonable price
- more banana milkshakes!
Workshops (Total – 7)
- With so much talent about, there should have been more workshops. How about using the marquee for workshops on Saturday?

- More 'unusual workshops' - eg Bed of Nails, Fire eating, but more 'standards' too - eg Devil Stick, Diablo, Staff, Club Swinging, contact (beginners and advance).

- If it aint broke, don't fix it! you're doing everything right - although the Hawth staff could sort out their booking system. Oh and a reminder - sent to uk-jugglers a few days before pre-reg closes would be good - I always forget - although maybe you did this year and I missed it amongst all the junk.

- A late licence on the bar for renegade.
- A club after Kettle of fish? Or at least a better atmosphere for renegades - dark with lights, music etc to make it more partyish

- Raised stage in theatre
- Raised stage in theatre as tables and chairs restrict view
- Retract seating in theatre for more space.
Advertising/Promotion (Total – 4)
- Promote the video in the bar is all I can think of.
- Why doesn't someone do commemorative t-shirts - you could always sell the left overs on the internet.
- Advertise further afield. People would come! Possibly live music on the Friday.
- Better visuals - flags, banners, make it look more like a festival.
Games (Total – 3)
- more prompt games for those who have to leave early
- Shorter games, better temp regulation in the main hall (too cold)
- More games that non jugglers and unicyclists can enter in the games!
Space (Total – 2)
- grass area available for practice.
- Yes, could we have a designated family area so the kids are together and we don't have to get stressed about them making a noise in the mornings.
